Digital 2D Animation Help

call cost USD $1 per min

I can help you to solve any issues you may be having with your digital TIMELINE ANIMATION software such as Flash or ToonBoom. This includes problems such as:

  • Audio problems (sync, compression, etc)
  • Playback lag issues
  • File size problems
  • Workarounds and tips

Software expertise:

  • Adobe Flash 5 up to Adobe Flash CS4
  • ToonBoom Animate
  • ToonBoom Digital Pro
  • ToonBoom Storyboard

I cannot help you with the following:

  • How to draw
  • How to get a job at Disney
  • Where to get cheap or free software
  • Critique or collaboration on your Flash project
  • Advice on which animation course/school is best
  • Actionscript

Callers are charged at USD $1 per minute. I start the timer when we agree that I can help you, then it's up to you to keep an eye on the clock.

NOTE TO BRACKENWOOD DONORS: If you have made a Brackenwood donation, email me to claim a free call equal to the value of your donation (up to a limit of 20 minutes).

Disclaimer: I have used Flash for many years as a 2D timeline-based animation program and have encountered many of the most common and annoying problems. While I am confident I can help you with most issues, there may be times when a process of elimination doesn't solve your problem.

Check my live webcam for my availability before you call.

Tips for an efficient call

  • Ensure you have enough Skype credit.
  • Prepare your question before you call
  • Make sure mic and headphones are working and configured. I want to be able to hear you, and you want to be able to hear me.
  • Have your program open and ready to follow instructions
  • It's better if you use headphones or earphones, as speakers can cause a confusing feedback effect where I hear my own voice through your mic.
