The Last of the Dashkin

June 25, 2010 - The new Brackenwood movie answers a lot of questions about Bitey, who he is and where he came from. It also poses new questions about his future as the last of his kind, a fleck of spite in an abandoned paradise.

At the moment I'm juggling the following freelance assignments:

EA2D

To complement EA/Bioware's gritty RPG epic, Dragon Age: Origins, EA2D created Dragon Age Journeys. It's adventure role playing with turn-based combat in the fantasy genre (spells, swords, monsters, etc.) Built with Flash, it's free and played directly in the browser. EA2D is a division of EA Games. They took Daniel Stradwick, a hugely successful indie game designer/programmer and myself, an angry little goblin, and they built a team around us. I'm responsible for all the art and animation, as well as some design. Chapter 1 has been online since late 2009 and has received favourable reviews (you can also play it here on Kongregate). We are currently working on the next bit which we hope will be announced in a matter of weeks.

Dungeons & Dragons

The new D&D toon is under way. This one is quite different to the previous shorts and I'm afraid I can't say much about it right now. As always, I'll embed it here when I can.

The other D&D work I did recently was 6 illustrations for The Player's Strategy Guide. I posted a few of the illustrations on the WoodenBlog, so check it out if you're into that kinda thing - come to think of it, if you're into that kinda thing, you'll probably get the book! Either way, here's the book and its blurb on the Wizards site.
